eCommerce Marketing, Tips and Tricks
Today, new technology has changed the way of marketing campaign. However, direct mail has not completely gone from marketing strategies list. Direct mail is a great way of increase leads and it encourages customers to buy online. In this blog, we give you three major reasons why direct mail marketing is more beneficial instead of email marketing.
1. Inbox Overload
I ask you two questions. First, how many emails you receive in a day? Second, how many do you read in a day? I’m sure; the first answer would be higher than the second. The reality is that we receive many more emails than we want to read or are capable of reading.
Every time, we find that our inboxes are full with emails. Our outlook is overloaded with personal communication, updates, news and offers. Generally, people don’t have time or desire to click on each and every email. It means your all marketing messages might be ignored.
The other thing that comes in mind that people throw away physical mail too, but the chances are less as compare to emails. The recent study shows that 99% of business owners check their mail on daily basis.
2. The Personal Touch
In order to marketing strategy you need to connect with your customers on a personal level. Otherwise your plan to take up door-to-door sales would not be successful. You need to visit their home and show your product personally.
An email can’t give you these same results. When people read your email, at the same time they may have other important tasks going on as well. So, direct mail helps you to talk directly to your prospective customers. You should arrange a meeting to join your prospects at the table.
3. Increased Trust
As soon as technology is increasing, concern of privacy also increasing as well. Due to scams, people do not trust on attachments and links in an email. They are very careful in the online world. This problem is not happens with direct mail. Prospective customers generally trust on direct mail as compare to fancy email.
So, it’s not true that direct mail has been disappeared from the mail industry.
